About
I am a craftsman at heart.
Over the years I have worked with a number of different materials including wood, fibers, and stone. After purchasing a lathe a few years ago I returned to working with wood and have been making wax-finished candlesticks out of maple and cherry.
I produce these handcrafted candlesticks in my workshop located in Amherst, Massachusetts.
The candlesticks look great in both contemporary and traditional home settings. They have a smooth finish and buyers comment that “not only are they beautiful, they feel good to the touch.” The candlesticks have a brass holder for a ½ inch taper candle.
Available in matching pairs or in groups of various sizes, many collectors have purchased three candlesticks in different sizes and display them together. They work beautifully on a dinner table setting, on a mantle, or wherever you want to see the candlesticks and the warm glow from a candle.
I use locally sourced maple and cherry and I include one ½ dripless beeswax taper with each candlestick, so that you can begin using the candlesticks right away.
My candlesticks can be purchased at shops in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Vermont, and through my website at drgwoodworking.com.
